Neutron Radiation Therapy

Fast Neutron (High-LET) radiation treatment is a very unique type of radiation that when compared to standard photon radiation (X-ray, Low-LET) shows some therapeutic advantages for treating ACC and other head and neck solid tumors. Neutron radiation is currently only available at The University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Many ACC survivors have been referred to this facility for treating ACC, especially for primary tumors in the head and neck region.
